President & Founder's Biography
Tom Schomisch attended Purdue University and The University of Wisconsin. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Economics.
In 1983 Tom saw the need for quality insurance in the Midwestern States. He founded Marketing Midwest which provides Life, Health, and Disability insurance for Business owners, Individuals, and other Brokers in 1987. A short while later MMII also added Annuities, Long Term Care and Medicare supplements to help individuals.
Marketing Midwest started helping Associations with their group health insurance, life, dental, and disability needs in 1991. With almost 20 years of experience in the Association business, MMII has become highly efficient in advising, developing and implementing insurance plans for Associations.
As a pioneer, Marketing Midwest is and has been in the forefront of providing benefit solutions to face the challenges of today’s health care costs.
Tom has spent his entire adult life in sales and sales management. He has the experience and knowledge to help with any of your insurance and investment needs.
Vice President's Biography
Mike Marta has worked with Marketing Midwest since 1991. In 2008 he joined the firm as a full partner. Mike has 25 years experience with employee benefits. He has put on public seminars and employee benefit meetings with employers of all sizes. Whether it is developing a new plan, or improving an existing employee benefit package, he enjoys the challenge in improving your benefits and saving you money.
Mike personally developed a complete teaching process to help educate employees and protect employers from the pitfalls found in the Hippa law.
As an employer himself for more than 20 years, Mike brings a vast knowledge of not only health insurance, but disability, dental and voluntary insurance solutions that he shares with his clients.
Mike also helps employers with individual wealth accumulation and wealth transfer as well as employer sponsored retirement plans. He brings a long track record of providing real solutions to employers. Mike’s goal is to help you develop the best benefit package at the lowest cost possible.
